Aims of the project

1. geographical mapping of tick activity and tick-borne pathogens (Tick-borne encephalitis virus, Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato spirochets)


  1. 2.characterisation of genetic variability of tick-borne pathogens


  1. 3.identification of main factors determining the distribution of ticks and tick-borne pathogens


4. prediction models of probability of tick attack and tick-borne disease infection risk in space and time


5. presentation of the results to public health institutions and general public
