"Ticks and tick-borne infectious diseases in the conditions of South Bohemia and Bavaria"  is a joint crossboarder research project of the Faculty of Science, University of South Bohemia, České Budějovice and the  Institute of Comparative Tropical Medicin and Parasitology, Ludwig-Maximilian University, Munich.

The project is focused on geographical mapping of ticks and tick-borne diseases (TBD), their distribution in space and time and factors determining the distribution. The project was started in April 2009 and will be finished in September 2011.

The project is co-financed by the Regional development fund of the European Union.
